Lois Kathleen Brown

Mrs. Lois Kathleen ("Kat") Brown, 83 of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday night, August 31, 2019. Mrs. Brown was born December 5, 1935 in Apalachicola, Florida to parents Mavis and Katie (Wilson) Varnes. Lois enjoyed being a housewife and homemaker to take care of her family. Her parents and her late husband, Horace Jerry Brown, preceded her in death. Survivors are her children, Valeriana Brown-Feliciano (Jimmy) of St. Augustine, Gerry Brown and Danny Brown of Jacksonville, and one brother, Neil Varnes of Wewahitchka, Fl. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Julie Trudel (Aaron), Gregory Stephens, Jr., (Stephanie), Chris Brown, Danny Brown, Jr., and Matthew Brown, and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Richie, of the Hudson Church of God, officiating. The family will hold a time of visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the start of the service.
