Obituary

Mrs. Lois Arline Phillips, age 88, of Keystone Heights passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 following a brief illness with her family by her side. She was born in Cedar Key on January 19, 1927 to the late Jessie James and Ellan (Andrews) Arline and was a homemaker. Mrs. Phillips has been in the Keystone Heights area since the 1960s and became a permanent resident in 1992, moving from Gainesville; she is also a member of Freedom Baptist Church where she was loved by many. Mrs. Phillips was a caregiver to many and had also volunteered many hours to the Keystone Heights community especially Lake Area Ministries. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clifford V. Phillips in 2006 and her sister, Elsie Parker and step-brother, Charles Seckinger. Her survivors include her son and his wife, Clifford "Buddy" Phillips Jr. and Melanie of Melrose; one sister, Marguerite Phillips of Saluda, Virginia; two grandchildren, Cliff Phillips, III and Nikki Pascia along with two great grandchildren. The family had a private service with the interment being at the Keystone Heights Cemetery. If you wish you can make contributions to Lake Area Ministries, P.O.
