Lori Ann Wear

Ms. Lori Ann Wear, 70 of Fleming Island, Florida, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018. Ms. Wear was born March 19, 1948 in Logan, Iowa to the late Francis and Rose (Gayman) Wear. She was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church of Middleburg. Lori held a bachelors degree of science in nursing and worked as a psychiatric nurse for 15 years at NAS Jax, and retired from James Quillen VA in Johnson City, Tennessee. Survivors are her children, Michelle "Micki" Cocking of Fleming Island, Florida, Kevin Cocking and Walter Cocking both of Middleburg, Florida, and Jeff Cocking of St. Cloud, Florida, siblings, Terry Wear of Springfield, Virginia, Jane Erlbacher of Defiance, Iowa, Marilyn McDaniel of Bentonville, Arkansas, Sheila Neff of Des Moines, Iowa, and Maureen Coffman of Lakeville, Minnesota. Also surviving her are her 3 grandchildren and the father of her children, Walter Cocking, Sr, Middleburg, Florida. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2018 in the Chapel of Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home, 1811 Idlewild Avenue, Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2018 at St. Lukes Catholic Church, 1606 Blanding Boulevard, Middleburg, Florida 32068 with Father Jaisemon Xaviour presiding. Burial will follow in the Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
