Lou Ellen Wilkerson

Lou Ellen Wilkerson "Be-Bop" age 69, of Starke entered into Glory Wednesday, October 26, 2016.She was born on January 25, 1947, in Sulphur Springs Texas, to the late James Walter and Alice Marie (Simpson) Crofford and has lived in Bradford County since 1971. Ms. Lou worked in health care all her life and she enjoyed every moment of it. After 32 years, she retired from the Department of Corrections. Be-Bop's greatest joy was her little companion, Diamond; they we're inseparable and Diamond gave her much laughter and joy. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church of Starke and she enjoyed music, flowers and crafting, but most of all Be-Bop loved serving her Lord and doing for others. Her family and friends always said, there was never a moment she met a stranger. Be-Bop was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Timothy Wilkerson, Sr.; sister, Mary " Liz " Norman and a brother. Her survivors are her seven children; Kenna Wilkerson of Raiford, Terry Anderson (Lamar) of Lawtey, Charmin Williams of Baldwin, Timothy " TJ " Wilkerson Jr. (Dana), Michael Leon "Goober" Wilkerson, all of Starke, Robin Christ (David) of Jacksonville and Ronda Helms of Interlachen; two siblings, Betsy Crofford Gordon and Jimmie Dean Hoover. Also left behind are her precious grandchildren; Matthew Wilkerson (Christian), Michelle Watts, Erica Mitchell (CJ), Timothy Wilkerson III (Jillian), Shaye Anderson (Andy), Tabitha and Richard Nolen, Jamie Manning, Tayler Williams, Austin Wilkerson (Alexandria), Tyler John Williams, Austin, Gabriel & Ethan Morgan, Brannon Wilkerson, Mavrick Justice Wilkerson, Jessica Woods (Donnie), Gene Woods(Ashley), Joshua and Christopher, great grandchildren; Braxton and Bentley, Hayden and LeLe, J'amari, Gracie, Stormie, Jr., Summer and Victoria, Jace, Maddie, McKinley, Mason, Kyra, Amaya, Alyse and Hadley, along with many nieces, nephew and countless friends. Memorial Services for Be-Bop will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday November 5, 2016 at Grace Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Foster Officiating.
