Louise Brannen Nelson Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Brannen Nelson, 87, lovingly known to all as Mama Bear, will be held at 10:00A.M. Monday, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South, with her son, Pastor Miles A. Nelson of Lulu Advent Christian Church, Lulu, FL officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Park Cemetery. Born June 24, 1925 in Lake Butler, Florida, Mrs. Nelson died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Jacksonville. She was a member of Friendship Community Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Miles Nelson on August 31, 2010. Survivors include a daughter, Alanna N. Memory of Jacksonville; three sons, Miles Alan (Eva) Nelson of Lulu, FL, Steven W. Nelson and Randal B. Nelson, both of Jacksonville; a brother, William A. (Barbara) Brannen of Canton, GA; four grandchildren, Shawn Nelson, Carrie Mitchell, Jeremy Nelson, and Rachel Nelson; five great-grandchildren, Connor, Cooper, Michelle, Caitlyn and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call, at the funeral home, from 9A.M. on Saturday.
