Obit: Louise WheelerLouise Rosalie Taylor Wilson Wheeler, a resident at Penney Farms since 2000, passed away on Monday May 3. Mrs. Wheeler was born in Jakin, GA in 1918. She attended Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, VA; Bethel Womans College in Hopkinsville, KY; the University of Tampa, FL; and Ohio State University. She earned her BA degree from Florida State College for Women, Tallahassee, FL. She earned her MA degree from the University of Alabama. She taught English in Kingsport, TN and Kent State University, Kent OH. Louise married Robert E. Wilson in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 1982. She married George Wheeler in 1983 and he preceded her in death in 1992. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Wilson of Kent, OH. Her son, Jeff Wilson-Braun and her daughter-in-law, Carol Wilson-Braun live in Watertown, MA. Her grandsons are Nathan and Peter Wilson-Braun, and her granddaughter is Krysta Cummings. Step-daughter, Roberta LaMonica and step-granddaughters Jeannette King and Jami Luzecky live in Ohio. Step-son Alan Wheeler and step grandchildren Luke, Corey, and Miles live in Rhode Island. Mrs. Wheeler was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority as well as a member of P.E.O.. Mrs. Wheeler enjoyed traveling around the world, meeting new people, staying in contact with life-long friends, music, art, dance, theatre, bridge, and reading. The family would like to thank the staff of the Pavilion and Penmor Place at Penney Farms for their loving care during the last months of Louises life. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Louise Wheeler be directed to the building of the Rehabilitation Center at Penney Farms Community (PRC). A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 10 Oclock in the Penney Farms memorial Church.
