Lt. Col. Hans J. Vogt (Retired)Born Hans (Jerry) Juergen Vogt,in Pirmasens, Germany to Erica Kranz and Eugen Vogt August 16, 1949. He did not learn English until he was 11 years old, but excelled in all he did. Heleft this world on May 5, 2023 at his home with his family close. He graduated from Miami Killian Senior High, and Florida State University. He earned his Master's of Science degree from University of Arkansas. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Cheryl. Together, Jerry and Cheryl and their 2 kids travelled the world for 22 years with the USAF before retiring in McIntosh, Fl. He is survived by his wife, his daughter April, 2 granddaughters, Taylor and Daisy and his brother, Joedy Smith, Jr., sister in law, Staci and their son Eric, and nephew, Joshua. He is predeceased by his parents, stepfather, Joedy H Smith Sr. and his son, Justin. At his wishes, there will be no services. His remains will be interred at the family cemetery in Ky.
