Lucille Harrison Harrelson went to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 18, 2013. She was 88 years of age. She was born in Coffee County, Alabama on March 27, 1925 to Leroy and Lillie Fleming Harrison.Lucille was known by her family as "Cille", her friends as "Miss H", her church family at Assembly of Faith in Bronson, FL as "Mom #2", her nieces as "Beautiful" and "Short Stuff", her grandchildren as "Granny" and "Grandma".She was fun-loving, kind, and generous of heart. She had a gift from God to make people feel loved. She always had a big hug for all who came to visit. She felt that all people wanted to be listened to, respected, and understood.She worked for Kinston Manufacturing and Covington Textile Company for sixteen years. She moved to Gainesville in 1966. Her hobbies were working with flowers and plants, sewing, putting puzzles together, and most of all watching the Gator football games.Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Daniel Dozier Harrelson , her sons, Wedsel "Wes" Harrelson and Michael Harrelson (who died at birth); her brother, Lewis Harrison, Jr., her parents, Leroy and Lillie Fleming Harrison, and her son-in-law Charles Dees.Lucille is survived by her daughter, Judy Dees; grandsons, C.J. Jones (who she always called Cal), Malcom Dees (Pat) and Vernie Dees (Brenda); granddaughters, Darlene Nash (Robert) and Pam Keen (Gary). She has eleven great-grandchildren.When she would wonder why God had let her live so long, she would come to the conclusion that someone else needed a mother's love, a prayer, or a hug that would leave a mark on their hearts. We all loved her and she will be greatly missed.Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 23, 2013 with visitation one hour prior at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, 725 NW 23rd Ave, Gainesville, Fl.
