Mrs. Lucille Crutchfield Payne age 85, of Starke went home to live with her Savior and Lord on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Haven Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Payne was born on December 20, 1923 in St. Augustine, Florida. She was a longtime resident of Starke and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church. Lucille retired from the Bradford County School system after 33 years of dedicated service as a loved teacher and administrator. Mrs. Payne was a member & President of many organizations including Alpha Delta Kappa, Delta Kappa Gamma, the Womens Club of Starke, two chapters of the Red Hat Society, and a member of two quilting groups. She was preceded in death by her parents James Edward and Rosalie Berry Crutchfield. Survivors are: her loving husband of 63 years Marion Payne of Starke; son: Marty Payne (Gayle) of Minneola, FL; daughters: Becky Payne Hall (Steve) of Orlando, FL; Nancy Payne of Starke, FL; sister: Nancy Crutchfield Holman of Waynesville, NC; granddaughter: Nicole Stevens Canipe (Richard) of Keystone Heights, FL; great grandson: Wyatt Canipe of Keystone Heights. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church, Starke, FL on Monday, July 13, 2009 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church with the Reverends Rodney Coe and Ben Bryant officiating. Graveside services will follow at Crosby Lake Cemetery, Starke. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church College Fund, P.O.
