Lucy Marie (DeSantis) Calvani passed away in Gainesville. FL, on December 2, 2017, one day before her 93rd birthday. She was born in Ithaca, NY, and moved to Gainesville in 1976.She was an incredibly amazing woman and will be missed by her family and friends.She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Calvani. She is survived by her children: James (Fran) Calvani, Janice (Ed) Morcone, Joanna (Joe) Lauderbaugh, and Joel (Michele Disabb) Calvani; eleven grandchildren (Jeffrey, Jennifer, Deanna, Paul, Dwayne, Melanie, Alexander, Ethan, Peter, Molly, and Samuel); and eleven great-grandchildren.Afuneral service will be held at Holy Faith Catholic Church onSaturday, December 9, 2017, at 9 a.m.The family will receive friends directly after the service at the church. Entombment will follow the reception at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central, 4100 NW 39th Ave. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Meadows Funeral Home.
