Obituary

In loving memory of: Luis Agustin Puig, 73, who passed away peacefully on December 2nd, 2024, in the comfort of his own home surrounded by loved ones. Throughout his life he had the honor of being a fun-loving father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. Luis was born in Havana, Cuba on August 28th, 1951, to Vincente D. Puig (Architect) and Elena Puig (volunteer firefighter & devoted housewife). The delivering doctor was Dr. Benach of the "Clinica Independiente". Notable highlights of Luis include but are not limited to reformed felon, construction supervisor, ship agent, limousine business owner, and hobbyist singer & magician. Luis was also a brief child star in Cuba, having had the opportunity to sing alongside Tito Gomez and the band "Riverside" on the 1950s T.V. station C.M.Q. The highest level of education attained by Luis was 8th grade at Miami Springs Junior High School. At the height of his professional accolades, he maintained a client base that included Frank Sinatra, Frankie Valli, Alexander Otto (German Billionaire), Robert Pressley (Nascar driver: Winston Cup Series), Steven Losner (former councilman of Homestead, now Mayor), Susan Kronick and Edward Shumsky (Burdines CEO, Wyatt Hotel Group, and Watson Wyatt Worldwide), Sigfrid & Roy, and others. The greatest accomplishment during the lifetime of Luis was baptism in Christ name in August of 1985. Today Luis Agustin Puig is survived by his four siblings (Danny, Eddy, Albert, and Dr. Elena) and his five children (Edgar, Michael, Barbara, Evan, and Benjamin). .Service Information:A funeral service and eulogy will be held at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home at 340 E Walker Dr, Keystone Heights, FL 32656 on Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at 12:00 noon. A public visitation will proceed services and begin at 11:00 am. Interment at Keystone Heights Cemetery 7304 Highway 100, Keystone Heights, FL, 32656 will follow the services.The family would like to express thanks for respecting the 72-hour period of silence in remembrance and recognition of Luis Agustin Puig and his extraordinary life.
