Luther "L.H." Harold Davis Age 63, Of Middleburg

Luther H. "L.H." Davis age 63, of Middleburg passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park. He was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina on July 30, 1953 to the late Cleveland and Bernice (Jones) Davis. L.H. had been a mechanic at Noegel's Auto Sales in Starke for 25 years prior to his retirement. He had attended First Black Creek Baptist Church and was very much a family man. Not only did L.H. work on cars, he enjoyed racing cars and watching NASCAR races. In his spare time he had also restored a 1968 Camaro in which he was extremely proud of. L.H. was preceded in death by his brother Robert Davis. His survivors are his six children, Lisa Davis of Destin, Curtis Davis of Lake City, Jennifer Davis of Brunswick, Georgia, Diane Prosser of Jacksonville, Amy Griffin of Middleburg and Breanna Davis of Starke. Also left behind are his four siblings, Charles Davis of Jacksonville, Beverly Whitener of Middleburg, Teressa Lacko of Georgetown, Kentucky, and James Davis of Daytona along with fifteen grandchildren. The family will receive friends at First Black Creek Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M., on Monday, September 19, 2016 with funeral services beginning at 10:30. Interment will follow at First Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Dean Slocum officiating all services.
