Funeral Services for Mr. L.V. Johnson will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in the Chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, Florida 32216. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road Jax, FL 32257. Pop graduated to glory peacefully on Saturday November 15, 2014. He was born on Dec. 11, 1926 in Vernon Parrish, LA and spent his lifetime preparing and serving great meals. He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty one years , Mrs. Mavis M. Johnson. He is survived by; a daughter, Laura Johnson of Jax, FL, two sons; Jeffery L. Johnson of Norcross, GA and Timothy W. Johnson of Jax, FL. A sister Maggie Inman of Rose Pine, LA. A brother Milton Wisby of Rose Pine, LA.
