Lyman Ray Rogers Lyman Ray Rogers, 93, died Sunday, November 24, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born October 17, 1920 in Colesburg, Iowa. He became a Mason while living in Colesburg. He served in the United States Navy as an Aerographer during World War II and retired after 20 years service. While in the Navy he helped map the South Pole aboard the U.S.S. Currituck (AV-7). He later retired as a Science Teacher from John Gorrie Junior High School. Mr. Rogers was predeceased by a daughter, Connie Sue Rogers McCaskill. He is survived by his wife, of 67 years, Mrs. Carolyn Scott Rogers of Jacksonville; three daughters, Chanda Rogers, Lorie Rogers, both of Jacksonville, and Lee Ann Rogers of Morristown, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Kelley Gilbert, Summer Rossie and Daniel Rossie; and a great-granddaughter, Daphinie. A memorial service will be held in Geneseo, New York. Local arrangements by George H.
