Mrs. Lynn Greene Marshall age 56 of Starke passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009 suddenly. Mrs. Marshall was born on January 24, 1953 in Jacksonville to the late Hank and Charlotte Linton Greene and moved to Bradford County in 1986 from Ft. Myers.She was very musically inclined and was currently learning to play the Bohdrain (Irish Drum). She received a Tuba Scholarship to Southern Mississippi upon graduation from Bradford High School, and later graduated from the University of South Florida. Lynn taught school in Bradford County receiving Teacher of the year for Hampton Elementary in 1990 and 1994, Bradford County Teacher of the Year in 2000, was listed in Whos Who Among Americas Teachers from 2003 thru 2004, and served as President of the Alpha Nu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society for Women Educators from 2002 2006. She loved motorcycle riding, often taking long trips on her bike accompanied by Greg. She attended both the First United Methodist Church and St. Edwards Catholic Church where she was also a member. Survivors are: her husband of 35 years Gregory Marshall of Starke; daughter: Jessica Wilkison (Danny) of Lawtey; son: Greg Marshall (Kathleen) of Gainesville; granddaughter: Kaitlin Marshall; niece Allison Dugdale; nephew Brian Dugdale. Memorial services previously scheduled for First Baptist Church have been moved to FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH and will be on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Mike Moore and Father Conrad Cowart officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Crosby Lake Cemetery. Flowers are acceptable or In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her honor to Hampton Elementary, P.O. Box 200, Hampton, FL 32044.
