Mabel L. LewisMrs. Mabel L. Lewis age 86, of Starke passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Shands Starke. Mrs. Lewis was born on July 13, 1925 in Starke to the late Otis E. and Laura A. (Ellington) Leach and was a Baptist. She worked as a waitress, a seamstress, and operated the Officer and Enlisted mens Club at Camp Blanding. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband C.M. Lewis. Survivors are: daughter: Gloria Starling of Kingsley Lake; sons: Alfred Swanson and Robert Swanson both of Starke; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. Memorial services for Mrs. Lewis will be on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL in Starke with Pastor Larry Strickland officiating.
