Mrs. Mable Burns WestcottMrs. Mable Burns Westcott age 85, of Starke, FL passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 following a brief illness. Mrs. Westcott was born on December 28, 1924 in Stamford, Connecticut to the late Harold T. and Natalie Conklin Burns and moved to Starke 18 months ago from Connecticut. Mrs. Westcott was a homemaker, a member and past Matron of the Order of the Easter Star; Rosemary Chapter 85, a member of the VFW Womens Auxiliary in Springdale, CT, a member of the Springdale Methodist Church, and a long time volunteer for the Smith House in Stamford, CT. Survivors are: her husband of 65 years Walter E. Westcott, Sr. of Starke, FL; her son: Walter E. Westcott, Jr. (Dianne) of Starke, FL; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Westcott will be at a later date in Jacksonville Florida National Cemetery.
