Mrs. Marcia Ann Starling Rhoden, age 67, of Starke passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at Haven Hospice in Gainesville. She was born September 17, 1952, to Warren James and Esther Eloise (Carlton) Starling. Mrs. Rhoden had been a longtime resident of Bradford County and had worked as a manager and caretaker for many years for Melrose Country Manor and Mayflower ALF in High Springs. She grew up in Pine Level Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking; she also enjoyed being outdoors gardening and fishing. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two sons and a daughter; three siblings Glenn, Gene and Thomas Starling along with a baby sister. Her survivors are six children, Jonathan Rhoden of Starke, Pamelia Gibbs (Dennis) of Hampton, Allen Rhoden (Rhonda Augustine) of Keystone Heights, Patricia Martin (Danny Plummer) of Alabama, Henry Rhoden (Theresa) of Keystone Heights and Paula Gibbs of Starke; stepchildren, William Scott (Kiristan) of Keystone Heights and Thomas Scott (Angie) of Newberry, her sister, Kathy Starling Guthrie (Roger) of Starke. Also left behind are her nieces and nephews, Lynn, Ashley and Jimmy Guthrie and Esther (Chad McKenzie), Mary and William "Buddy" Starling (Janie Coe) in addition to a host of additional great nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. The family will receive friends in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel Wednesday, January 29, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. There will be no services.
