Margaret Frank Ludwig Margaret Frank Ludwig passed away on February 15, 2013. She was born on December 29, 1917 in Columbus, Ohio to C. Melvin and Flora Frank. She has resided in Jacksonville since 1951. Margaret received a B.A. in Fine Arts from Ohio State University. (go Bucks!) Margaret was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Charles M. Frank and her loving husband, Edward W. Ludwig M.D. She is survived by her sons Jeffrey Robert and Frank Andrew (Linda) and her grandchildren Ash(Laura), Bion (Meryl) and Tara-Nicole Ludwig also her sister, Kathleen F. Shaffer and her nephew, Douglas Shaffer. Margaret was a dedicated volunteer during her life in Jacksonville. She was a founding Mother of Southside Country Day School (now Jacksonville Country Day School), she was President of the Duval County Medical Auxiliary, and State President of the Florida Medical Auxiliary. She was a past President of the University Hospital Auxiliary (Shands Jacksonville), Hibiscus Garden Club, Empire Point Garden Club, the Jacksonville University Library Board, and The National Society of Arts and Letters. She was a member of the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, where she was a happy docent for over 25 years. She was a national board member of Delta, Delta, Delta for 9 years and was active in the Jacksonville Panhellenic Association. She was a Deacon at Riverside Presbyterian Church and was on the Chancel Flower Committee at the church for forty five years. She dearly loved her church. There will be a private burial in Jacksonville, Florida with a memorial service at Riverside Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 11Am.
