Margaret Foxworth Nelson

Mrs. Margaret Foxworth Nelson, age 88, of Melrose passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Allegro Assisted Living Facility in Fleming Island. She was born in Jacksonville on March 11, 1927 to the late Samuel A. and Mildred (Manning) Foxworth. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Nelson was a secretary at Gulf Life Insurance Company for many years. Mrs. Nelson has been a resident of Melrose since 1983 and a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoyed Traveling, shopping and loved cats. Her husbands, Lawrence Pullo, Henry "Donald" Nelson and Roger Skelton and a step daughter, Vickie Hester had preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Larry J. Pullo (Dawn) of Palatka and Randy E. Pullo of Ponte Vedra; three siblings, Louise Jones, Dick Foxworth and Jerry Foxworth all of Jacksonville and two grandsons, Jason (Renee) and Josh. Also left behind are three step daughters, Theresa Cooley of Jacksonville, Joylynn Lane of Quitman, Georgia, and Maggie Nelson of Portland Oregon and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren through marriage. Funeral services for Mrs. Nelson will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 in Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor James Peoples officiating. The family will begin receiving friends one hour prior to the beginning of services. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park.
