Mrs. Margaret R. SmithMrs. Margaret R. Smith age 89, of Keystone Heights passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born on May 16, 1923 in Jacksonville to the late Sidney Charles and Kathryn (Barley) Rountree and moved to Keystone Heights in 1988 from Jacksonville. Prior to retirement she worked as a manager for BlueCross Insurance Company. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, was a longtime childrens Sunday school teacher for First Baptist Church of Keystone Heights, enjoyed gardening, loved flowers and plants and had other hobbies. Margaret was preceded in death by her grandson Dean and her brother Glenn Alva Rountree. Survivors are: her husband of 70 years William Alton Smith, Sr. of Keystone Heights; children: Judy Sarbu (Ken) of Middleburg; Terrance Lee Smith, Sr. (Kathy) of Keystone Heights; William A. Bill Smith, Jr. (Linda) of Jacksonville; Gayle Ditto (Julian) of Port St. Lucie; grandchildren: Kristin, Jodi, Greg, Lee, Adam, Jeff, April, and Holly; great grandchildren: Tripp, Josh, Layla, Giada, and Asher. The family will receive friends on Saturday December 15, 2012 at FREEDOM BAPTIST CHURCH, 7207 State Rd. 21 in Keystone Heights from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 2 oclock.
