Marguerite Gilman Childress, 86, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 in Jacksonville. She was born on Oct. 22, 1923 in Jacksonville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence W. Childress.Marguerite lived in Keystone Heights after retiring from Southern Bell Telephone Co. in Jacksonville and Miami where she was a supervisor of accounting. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Keystone Heights.She is survived by sisters: Olga G. Westmoreland of Leesburg, FL: Patricia Lynn of Plantation, FL and Colleen M. Ball of Pensacola, FL; and several nieces and nephews who affectionately called her Aunt Marg.Mrs. Childress was pre-deceased by her sister Yvonne G. Jones.Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 11 oclock at First Baptist Church of Keystone Heights. Viewing will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
