Funeral services for Marguerite Johnson, 92, who passed away on March 22, 2015, will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 with Pastor Perry Fruscella officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday (Today) from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson was born in Butts, Georgia and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She had retired from J. C. Penney after many years of service and was a member of Northside Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, the late Dessie Johnson Sr.; Son, Dessie Johnson Jr., Son- in- law, Lee "Porky" Stanley; 2 sisters, Ruby Butler and Evelyn Rickerd; 2 brothers, Virgil Wiggins and Allen Wiggins. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley A. Stanley (Billy Jackson); Daughter-in-law, Janice Johnson; 1 brother, Jesse Wiggins; 3 grandchildren, Jill Bradberry (Mike), Josh Stanley, and Julie O'Brien (Sean); 4 great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Brittany, Kaelyn and Kourtney; Several nieces and nephews.
