Mrs. Marian Moody Bates Moore age 75 of Hampton passed on Monday, January 11, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Moore bas born on February 12, 1934 in Scottsboro, Alabama to the late Leland and Lillian Bates, was a longtime resident of Hampton, and was a Baptist. She graduated from Mt. Berry College in Rome, GA with an AA degree in 1953, and worked as an in home caregiver prior to her illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin D. Moore, Sr. and sons James Randall Moore and Larry Wayne Moore. Survivors are: sons: Alvin D. Moore, Jr.; Barry Moore; and Monte Moore all of Hampton; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. Memorial services for Mrs. Moore will be on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with Pastor John Hodges officiating.
