Mrs. Marie Y. Heltzel age 88, of Keystone Heights, passed away on April 26, 2026, at Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Starke. Marie was born on September 25, 1937, in Goshen, Indiana to the late Lewis and Hazel (Beckner) Dixon and graduated from Goshner High School. Following graduation she worked for Richmond Wholesale Company. On August 4, 1956, she married the love of her life, Franklin Heltzel and they welcomed their son on May 10, 1957 and a daughter on October 20, 1959. Marie began college in 1968 and received her bachelor's degree from Purdue University in January of 1971. Prior to retirement she taught Home Economics in Lake Butler from August 1971 until September of 2000. She was a member of Keystone Community Church and was the manager of the Keystone Heights Senior Center beginning in January of 2002.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Heltzel, her son, Randy Heltzel and her daughter, Barbara Heltzel. Survivors are, her granddaughter, Terri Heltzel and nieces and nephews.
