Mrs. Marie H. McGaughey, age 82, a resident of Green Cove Springs for the past 54 years died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Orange Park Medical Center.She was born on May 17, 1928 in New Hebron, MS.Prior to her retirement she was employed as a School Teacher in Green Cove Springs for over thirty years. She was a member of the Orange Avenue Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs. She enjoyed reading, cross stitch and making baby quilts.Mrs. McGaughey was pre-deceased by her husband John R. McGaughey.She is survived by her son; John McGaughey of Green Cove Springs. Her brother; Howard Hartzog of New Hebron, MS, one grandson and one great grandson.A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, March 9, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the HELM-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, (SR 16), 1811 Idlewild Ave, Green Cove Springs. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday morning March 10, 2011 at 10 oclock in Orange Avenue Baptist Church, 1106 N Orange Ave., Green Cove Springs with Pastor Billy Mills officiating.
