Marilyn O'Neal Taylor

Mrs. Marilyn ONeal Taylor, age 80 of Middleburg passed away at her home, Thursday, October 26, 2017. Marilyn was born November 5, 1936, the only child to the late Robert and Pearlie ONeal in Baldwin. Marilyn and Charles were married August 24, 1956 in Baldwin at the First Baptist Church where she attended in childhood, until she married. Marilyn and Charles were married 56 years when Charles went to be with the Lord, June 19, 2012. Charles was a retired Marine Engineer of 35 years; Marilyn was a homemaker and full time mom, never retired. Marilyn loved good music, gospel, 1950s, country and bluegrass. She loved to play the piano and played in church when needed; she loved sewing and made grandchildren dresses. Marilyn and Charles attended Oak Grove Baptist Church after moving to Middleburg from Sarasota where he served as Deacon and Treasurer. Marilyn was Financial Secretary and sang in the choir and worked in the kitchen for several years. (They loved this little church.) She loved their three sons and families, Scotty Taylor (born on their 1st anniversary) (Paula), Robby Taylor (Renee), and Drew Taylor (Lynette) all of Middleburg. Also left behind are her grandchildren; Keith Taylor (Amber), Kourtney Taylor Woodruff (Mike) all of Middleburg, Brittany Taylor Weaver (Steven) of Clarksville, TN, Winston Taylor (Kaitlyn) of Jacksonville and Brandy McMillan (Chris) of Middleburg; eight great grandchildren, Kayden Taylor, Harper Woodruff, Trinity Weaver, Hazel Weaver, Garrett McMillan, Ethan McMillan, Rylee McMillan and Weston Eagerton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Middleburg with Rev. Kermit Matthews and Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
