Marion H. Fryar

FRYARMrs. Marion H. Fryar, age 92, passed away on Tuesday May 30, 2017 in Jacksonville after suffering many years from Alzheimer's disease. A Memorial Service will be held at Riverside Park United Methodist Church (819 Park St, Jacksonville, FL 32204) at 10:30 AM on Saturday June 17, 2017A Florida native, Marion was born in Ft. Pierce on September 16, 1924 to Harry & Edna Guyon Hockett. She moved to Jacksonville at age 4. She attended Andrew Jackson High School and worked for Southern Bell for 10 years before focusing on raising a family. In 1972 Marion and her husband Joe ( retired from the U.S. Postal Service) moved to Keystone Heights to their lake home on Crystal Lake . She adapted easily to "Lake Life". She enjoyed fishing, oil painting, sewing, gardening, card and board games and caring for her family. In later years she went to the movies every Monday with friends and owned the Harry Potter Movie series. She had such a huge heart for her pets and nature in general.Marion was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Joseph S. Fryar Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Janis F. Schmitz (husband Chris) son Scott D. Fryar and grandson Ryan O.
