Marjorie R Connell

Marjorie R. Connell, age 71 of Middleburg, passed away at the Custead Care Center of Orange Park on September 21, 2015. She was born on May 26, 1944 in Bonavista, Newfoundland to the late Albert and Bessie "Tremblett" Clarke. Mrs. Connell loved volunteering to ring the Salvation Army Bell, spending time with family and friends, and collecting light houses. She also was a member of the Clay County Salvation Army. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Richard Connell; parents, Albert and Bessie "Tremblett" Clarke; one sister, Barb Matthews; and one brother, Bob Clarke. Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Clarke of Midway, GA, Roxanne Sexton of Canada, and Catherine Stotts of Lemon Grove, California; one son, James Tozier of El Cajon, California; one sister, Amy Sheppard of Canada; five brothers, Eddie Clarke, Roy Clarke, Jim Clarke, Alex Clarke, and Bill Clarke each from Canada; grandchildren include, Levi Roach, Zachary Roach, and 7 other grandchildren; great-grandchildren include, Alannah Connell and 7 other great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place at the Salvation Army Corps in Middleburg on October 3, 2015 at 10AM with Major Dean Moretz and Major Pam Moretz officiating. A graveside service will follow at Crosby Lake Cemetery at 1PM.
