Marjorie Lula Hughes

Mrs. Marjorie Lula Hughes, age 91, of Melrose passed away, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Riverwood Health and Rehab in Starke. She was born in High Springs on April 26, 1924 and had retired from Winn-Dixie. Mrs. Hughes was a long time member and loved Orange Heights Baptist Church; she enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was preceded in death by 12 siblings and is survived by her two children, Dennis Beck (Brenda) of Melrose and Linda Tucker (Wayne) of Kentucky along with three grandchildren. A memorial service for Mrs. Hughes will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Eliam Baptist Church with Reverend Arthur Johnson officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
