Mrs. Marjory Ann Gillmore age 77, of Keystone Heights passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, at Haven Hospice in Gainesville. She was born March 1, 1941, in Ocala to Elmore and Bunnie (Roland) Freyermuth. Mrs. Gillmore received her diploma from Leesburg High School and in 2006 she made Keystone Heights her home. She worked for Getz Pest Control as their bookkeeper and also worked briefly for Hitchcocks grocery store. Mrs. Gillmore was of the Methodist Faith and enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards and gambling in Biloxi. She also enjoyed traveling, fishing with her sister when she visited and was known as an avid Jacksonville Jaguar fan. Mrs. Gillmore was best known for her seamstress and quilting talents. She made a majority of her own clothes even making her prom dress, but most cherished are the baby blankets and quilts she made for her grand and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Thomas "Tom" Gillmore and their two sons David Mills Gillmore and Thomas Daniel Gillmore II, a grandson Jonathan Cody Sapp along with a son-in-law Michael Higginbotham. Survivors are her daughter Janean Higginbotham of Keystone Heights, a sister Patricia McRae of Newnan, Georgia along with eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A memorial service for Mrs. Gillmore will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2018, in the Jones Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Conner officiating.
