Martha Jean "Marty" Barry

Martha Jean "Marty" Barry (Kramer) of Starke, FL passed July 28, 2019 at Shepherd's Cove Hospice Center in Albertville, AL.She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on November 15, 1923. She grew up in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania and graduated High School there, Class of 1941. For several years she lived in Japan and Germany as a secretary on the U.S. Air Force Bases. She married Dr. Jack Barry in 1958 and they and their 3 children lived in Starke for many years. She has spent the last few years living in Albertville, AL with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the lights of her life and she was very happy getting to see them often. Her first grandchild gave her the nickname "Bear" which has been her name of choice ever since, to family, friends and acquaintances alike. Second to her family, her greatest loves were knitting and cheering on the Florida Gators. She lived a full and happy life and will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Fritz and Ida Kramer, Daughter, Terilyn Barry and Husband, Dr. Jack Barry.Survived by her sister - Mildred Patterson; Daughter - Adrienne Pope (Alex); Son - Drew Barry (Darlene); Granddaughters - Taylor Oglesby (Robert), Christi McCormick (Casey) and Sarah Mount (Chris); Great Grandchildren - Noah Mount, Audrey McCormick and Olivia McCormick. The family will receive friends at the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 10 oclock. Interment will be private at Newberry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers she requested donations to any of the following: American Cancer Society, Shriners Children's Hospital, or Shepherd's Cove Hospice (Albertville, AL.
