Martha Lee Nettles

Mrs. Martha Lee Nettles, age 85, of Starke, formally of Orange City, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at UF Health in Gainesville. Martha was born on August 12, 1935, in St. Petersburg, Florida to the late Marshall and Doris June "Collins" Nelms. Mrs. Nettles moved to Starke in 1975 and was a long-time resident at Windsor Manor Health and Rehabilitation. She will be remembered as the self-proclaimed Queen of Windsor Manor and considered herself an advocate for her friends there. She enjoyed writing, painting, bird watching, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Beryl Nettles; and her sons, Allan and Bill Nettles. Survivors include her son, Walter (Beth) Nettles of Daytona Beach; grandchildren, Derreck OGuinn of Orlando, Joshua Nettles of Deland, Sara (Kentrell) Jackson of Deland, Megan Nettles of Orlando, and Stephanie Nettles of Orlando.Memorial services will be held at a later date.Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME OF STARKE 904-964-6200.
