Mary Ann Bolden

Mary Ann Bolden, 73, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Thursday afternoon in the ICU at Saint Vincents Hospital shortly after the diagnosis of a major stroke.Born December 8, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to Richard and Mary Seibert.Survived by her beloved husband of nearly 36 years, married July 14, 1979, Donald (Don) C. Bolden; Brother, Richard Seibert; Step-children, Regina Bolden (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL), Wendell & Wife Sandy Bolden (Louisville, KY) and Karran Bolden (Smithville, TN); Grandchildren, Amber Gottlieb, Christopher Bolden, Courtney Bolden, Jasmine Montgomery and Chance Montgomery; Great-grandchildren, Presleigh Gottlieb and Lennox Gottlieb; several nieces, nephews and beloved friends.She graduated from University of Kentucky with a BA in Education and a MA in Library Sciences. Worked as an elementary, middle school teacher and director of Library in New Albany, Indiana.She loved her God and Faith tradition with her whole heart, a devout Catholic, member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and womens Club. An avid reader, whom enjoyed ceramics and volunteering in the gift shop at St. Vincents Hospital, formerly St. Lukes. Dear to her were her precious pets, Onyx and Ginger.Viewing will be held at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, Tuesday January 26, 2016 from 5 to 7pm, located at 4140 University Blvd. S.
