Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Mary Beth Carter age 82, of Starke passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. She was born on November 7, 1930 in Georgia to the late Felix and LaVinta (Webb) Moody and moved to Starke 58 years ago. Prior to retirement she worked as a bookkeeper in the banking industry and retired from the Bradford County School Board as a secretary. Mary Beth was a member of First Baptist Church, was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. She enjoyed sewing, homemaking, doing crafts, and singing. She was preceded in death by her four brothers and two sisters. Survivors are: her husband of 58 years Paul D. Carter of Starke; daughter: Paula Carter of Leesburg, GA; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH in Starke on Saturday, February 16, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 3 oclock. Brother Ben Bryant, Brother Blake Albritton will officiate. Interment will follow in Crosby Lake Cemetery.
