Mrs. Mary Latain Elliott Pearson age 93, of Starke, Florida passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Pearson was born on October 5, 1921 in Lawndale, North Carolina to the late H.D. and Ocie (Willis) Elliott and was a longtime Bradford County resident. Mary was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a homemaker, enjoyed bird watching and gardens. Preceding her in death was her husband of 53 years James H. Pearson and her brother Carl Elliott. Survivors are: daughters: Janie Jarvis (Jerry) of Starke, Pam Sanderson of Lake Butler, Christy Hayes of Satellite Beach sons: Ronald D. Pearson (Teila) and Donald G. Pearson (Nancy) all of Starke. She is also survived by her siblings: Ruth Neal of Shelby, NC, and Kenneth R. Elliott of Pittsboro, NC, nine grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Pearson will be on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the DEWITT C. JONES CHAPEL of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home of Starke.
