Mary Poon Eng

Funeral services for Mary Poon Eng, 82, will be held at 10:00am Saturday December 12, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Hobson Auditorium, 124 W. Ashley St, Jacksonville, with Rev. Irvin Huffingham and Dr. Winston Tan officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday December 11, 2015 at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. Interment will be Monday December 14, 2015 at 10:00am in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, with a procession from the funeral home at 9:00am. Mrs. Eng was pre-deceased by her brothers Gee Kwai Poon and Yonggui Pan and survived by her husband Jimmy S. Eng; sons Kent Eng and Troy (Cheryl) Eng; daughter Laura (Woody) Lim; sisters Annie (William) Siet, Lily Poon and Helena (Philip)Hui; brothers Cheuk (Margaret) Poon Sunny Poon, Paul (Dee) Poon, John (Polly) Poon and Larry Poon; grandchildren Christopher Eng, Mathew Eng, Sarah Eng and Jacob Forest Lim and sister-in-law, Sun Wan Poon. Mary was instrumental in establishing and an active member of the Chinese Ministry at First Baptist Church. Mary was devoted to sharing God's love and light to others.
