Mrs. Mary Alice French age 87, of Starke, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at the home of her caregiver. Mrs. French was born January 28, 1926 in Granite City, IL to the late Henry G. and Iva Ruby (Wallace) Ezell. Prior to retirement she worked as an executive secretary in the banking industry. Mary was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Starke, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 650 in Granite City, IL and the Order of the White Shrine, Mt. Olive Shrine #15 in St. Louis, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Paul French, siblings: Henry Ezell, Russell Ezell, and Kathleen Ezell Wallace. Survivors are: her daughter, Dianne Westcott and her husband Walter of Starke; brothers: Gerald Ezell, Jimmy Ezell and Tommy Ezell all of Illinois; grandchildren: Bobbie Acevedo, Carrie Westcott, and Casey Westcott all of Starke and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by two step-sisters in Illinois and her sister-in-law: Jane Ezell of Starke. Memorial services for Mrs. French will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 921 East Call Street in Starke.
