Mrs. Mary Frances Fussell of Keystone Heights passed away at the Bradford Terrace Nursing Home in Starke on Saturday February 25, 2012. Mrs. Fussell was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late John and Ann (McQueen) Thornton, and has been a resident of Keystone Heights since 1987 moving here from Jacksonville. Mrs. Fussell was a member of the St. William Catholic Church and prior to her retirement she was a Lieutenant Commander RN in the United States Navy. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Fussell and her brother Robert Thornton. Survivors are her two sons; Robert Fussell (Hilda) of Jacksonville and John Fussell (Eugenia) of Falls Church, VA, one sister; Ilene Honey Duffy of CT, brother in law; Billy Fussell of Nahunta, GA, and her two sister in laws; Mary Thornton of Staten Island, NY and Frankie Mae Fussell of Brunswick, GA. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Robert Fussell, II (Rebecca), Holly Futch (Chad) and Katie Nelson (Anthony), great grandchildren; Robert Cody Fussell, Emma Futch, Audrey Futch, David Cardoso, Jacquelyn Walker, and Brittney Walker. Mrs. Fussell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. William Catholic Church Friday, March 2, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Mike Williams officiating. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Keystone Heights Cemetery with President Timothy Fussell and Father Mike Williams officiating.
