Mary Catherine Knight (nee Reynolds) passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 4th, 2024, in her home in Fairfield, FL. Born on April 18th, 1934, in Graham, FL. Catherine was raised in Reddick, FL, graduating from Reddick High School in 1952. After graduating, she attended Alachua General Nursing School, where she began her nursing career as an ER nurse and later retired as a surgical nurse. Catherine, also known as Cathy, Granny, Mama, and Granny Gator, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Her love for her family and friends was unparalleled, and she always showed it. She is known for her love of gardening, days at the lake house, traveling, and, her favorite, cheering on the Florida Gators. Granny participated in the Florida Gators Football Goal Liners Booster Club for many years, holding season tickets and taking her grandchildren to the games. She is survived by her Daughter Diane (Johnny) Gebhardt, Son Al (Susan) Estes, Daughter-in-law Toni Estes; Grandchildren Stephen Estes, Richard Estes, Joanna (Justin) Walker, Joshua Gebhardt, and Taylor Gebhardt; Great-grandchildren Tyler, Stephen Jr., Trenton, Hunter, Hope, Brantley, Bryleigh, Lylly, and Bryson. Sisters Juannell Sealey and Loretta (Buddy) Polk. Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lomie Reynolds, husband Jim, son Jimmy Estes, sister Juanita Maloney, and brothers Tommy Reynolds, Leslie Reynolds, and Donald Reynolds. A service to honor Catherines life will be held on Wednesday, April 10th at Fairfield Baptist Church 14855 NW Hwy 225, Reddick, FL. Viewing will begin at 10 am, followed by her service at 11 am.
