Funeral services for Mary Alice McCoy, 73, who passed away on October 21, 2014, will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206, with Rev. Chris Coram officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday (Today) from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. McCoy was born in Lake City, Florida and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville. She was a Godly woman that loved the Lord. She was a member of the North Jacksonville Baptist Church and C.O.P.S. She had been a toll attendant at Trout River and later retired from the Sears Warehouse. Preceded in death by her husband, the late Emmett McCoy; Survivors include the father of her children, Edward J. Green; 2 daughters, Lori London (Michael), and Lisa Cox (Bruce); 2 sons, Edward A. Green and Billy Joe Green; 3 sisters, Connie Verville, Jeanine Roberts, and Sherry Wallace (Jim); 1 brother, Richard Dennard (Nancy); 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
