Mary Louise Hansen Parker, 63, of Gainesville, FL passed away at home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.Mary had the enviable ability to find the silver lining in any storm. She was kind, generous, compassionate, empathetic, and indelibly hopeful. She saw good in others that even they couldn't see in themselves. She had a gentle spirit that could calm the anxious, quiet the outraged, and comfort the distressed. Mary's resilient approach to everything filled her life even as her body made it harder to live it. She was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend whose brightness will continue to warm those who were blessed to have known her.She is survived by her four children, Christopher Parker (Denton, TX), Serenity Kines (Tucker, GA), Daniel Parker (Enterprise, AL), and Andrew Parker (Las Vegas, NV); her sisters, Carrol Benefiel (Gainesville, FL) and Ligia Libonati (White Plains, NY); and her brother, Frank Hansen, Jr (Tampa, FL).Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Lucia Trimmer (Gainesville, FL) and Frank Hansen, Sr. (Los Angeles, CA); her step-father, Morris Trimmer (Gainesville, FL); and her loving companion, Douglas Butler (Gainesville, FL).A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Forest Meadows Memorial Park Central, 4100 NW 39th Ave., Gainesville, on January 7, 2017 at 11:00am.Arrangements are entrusted to Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Cemeteries and Crematory.
