Mary Greek Stamper 86, of Starke, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Parkside Assisted Living Facility where she resided for the last 3 years. Mary was born in Live Oak, Florida but lived most of her life in Jacksonville. She was married to her husband John for 52 years. Mary was a stay-at-home mom and was active in PTA, WMU, and church choir for many years. Most recently she was very active in her church at Fellowship Baptist Church in Raiford. Mary is survived by her daughter, Joni Mocas of Jacksonville and her son, John Stamper, Jr. (Tan) of Thailand, 5 grandchildren, Zachary Mocas, Jeremy Mocas (Autumn), Ian Stamper, Maya Lin Stamper and Libby LePore (Dan) along with 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ella Mae Harper of Fernandina, FL, brother, Greg Greek (Roxanne) of McAlpin, FL and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John Norris Stamper, parents, Marion and Sadie Greek along with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10:00 am with a services to follow at 11:00 am at Fellowship Baptist Church, Raiford, FL. A brief graveside service will be held the same day at 3:00 pm at Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, FL, at the north end of the cemetery.
