Mary Edith Stevens

Mrs. Mary Edith Stevens 72 a longtime resident of Keystone Heights passed away at her home Tuesday, March 9, 2021. She was born march 5, 1949, in Douglas, Georgia to Johnny and Molly (Davidson) Smith. Mrs. Stevens served as the administrator for over 20 years at the Melrose country Manor and was a member of the Church of God Mountain Assembly in Tennessee. She enjoyed watching Gun Smoke television shows and Clint Eastwood; she also enjoyed doing crafts and making necklaces, cooking, flowers, and getting dressed up. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her grandson Terry Ogborne, Jr. Survivors are her husband of 44 wonderful years Jessie James Stevens of Keystone Heights; a daughter Paula Kelly of Gainesville; two siblings Darrell Smith of Hollister and Kitty Hunter of Plant City. Also left behind are two grandchildren Devin William Ogborne and Victoria Lynn Keel. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021, in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services starting at 11:00 a.m. with Mr. Jay Walden officiating.
