TODD, Mattie MaeEvangelist Mattie Mae Todd, 82, passed away on Wednesday February 17, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL.A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday February 27, 2021 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, S., Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Bishop Rodrick Love officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation the day before, on Friday February 26th, from 9:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home.Mattie was a Jacksonville native, born here to Mathew Raines & Lula Bell Bothuel Raines on November 9, 1938. She attended High School in Jacksonville and after graduation began a career working in the banking industry, eventually retiring from American Express. Mattie was a member of The Church of the Living God. Throughout her life, Mrs. Todd leaves a rich legacy of love and service to others.Mattie Mae Todd is survived by her 5 daughters - Alesia Walters of Jacksonville, Patricia Jones of Ft. Lauderdale, Cynthia Whitehead of Ft. Lauderdale, Angelia Stroman of Hartford, CT & Gilana Sarah Yisrael of Loganville, GA; 4 sons Gregory Stroman of Milford, CT, Marcel Stroman of Enfield, CT, Anthony Lee of Boston, MA & Michael Lee of Phoenix, AZ; 2 sisters Elizabeth Burke of Hartford, CT & Marcena Little of Windsor, CT and by 2 brothers Martin Burke & Edward Burke of Middletown, CT. Mrs. Todd is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family & friends.
