Maxine Glunt Vaughn, of Green Cove Springs, passed away, Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the age of 97. She was born January 26, 1916 to the late Benjamin and Vella Glunt in Rockford, Illinois. Maxine was a long time resident of Clay County and a homemaker. She was a musician for her church. Maxine is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence Leighton Vaughn, a son, Michael Vaughn and wife, Meredith of Green Cove Springs, a sister, Loreen Glunt, a brother, Myron Glunt and 2 grandchildren, Shaye Vaughn and Matthew Vaughn. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, November 22, 2013 at Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of services at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
