Mrs. Melba K. IlgenMrs. Melba Kittrell Ilgen age 88, of Gainesville formerly of Keystone Heights, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. Mrs. Ilgen was born on January 5, 1923 in Fairmont, North Carolina to the late O.K. and Sarah Cannon Kittrell and moved to Florida in 1953 from Oklahoma. Prior to retirement she was the owner/operator of Melba Ilgen Reality in Keystone Heights, was a member of the Community Church in Keystone Heights, and attended Keystone Heights United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Frank Ilgen. Survivors are her daughter: Diana Kesler of Georgia; sons: Donald Ilgen of Tennessee and Barry Ilgen of Archer; sisters: Edith Hill of Middleburg; Teeny Andersen of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with funeral services beginning at 11 oclock. Pastor Rob Morford will officiate. Interment will follow in Keystone Heights Cemetery.
