Mercia"GT" Maritza Reid (Williams) was a caring daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She left this world peacefully on October 30, 2020 at age 78 after a valiant fight with esophageal cancer.Born in Kingston, Jamaica to Everard and Lena Williams, Mercia emigrated to the United States in 1967. She lived in Brooklyn, New York for two decades before moving to Gainesville, Florida in 1987.
