Mr. Michael Lee Bell, 58 of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023. Mr. Bell was born February 26, 1965 in Norfolk, Virginia to parents David Wayne and Dorothy Louise (Thomas) Bell. In his free time, Mike enjoyed fishing and camping, cookouts, and listening to music. He loved church, his animals, and family (especially his grandchildren) and friendships. His father, David Bell, and children, Angela Bell and Joseph Bell preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife of 40 years, Sharon Faye Bell of Jacksonville, daughter, Katherine Louise Albert (Marcus) of Jacksonville, NC, mother, Dorothy L. Thomas, sisters Cheryl Beebe of St. Augustine, and Karen Walker of Jacksonville, and brother, David Bell (Donna) of Middleburg. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Eldon Bell, Cameron Albert, London Albert and Julian Albert along with many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 in the Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Boggess officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service. There will be a gathering at the funeral home following the service. Burial will be held at Penney Farms Cemetery at a later date.
