Michael Eugene Brooker

Mr. Michael Eugene Brooker, 60, of Keystone Heights passed away suddenly at his home, Saturday, June 27, 2015. He was born in Orange Park on Monday, July 26, 1954 and has been a long time resident of Keystone Heights. Michael received his Associate of Arts degree with honors from Santa Fe Community College and was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to his retirement he was a financial advisor; he was a Christian and a member of the Episcopal Church. Michael enjoyed reading, playing golf, and spending time with his great niece and nephews. Michaels father Horace Eugene Brooker had preceded him in death. His survivors are his mother and step father, Shirley (Blackwood) McInerney and Dan of Lake Geneva; one sister Patti Leibold her husband Ralph of Keystone Heights; two nephews, Clint Gillen his wife Pam and Kenneth Leibold all of Keystone Heights; three nieces, Virginia Gillen, Nicole Messerschmit her husband Brent all of Keystone Heights and Rachel Leibold of Middleburg. Funeral services for Michael will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Green Cove Springs.
